Thread Plug Gauge:  These are used to inspect internal threads where screws can be used to join the piece to another one. A well-made product should pass through the test results and ones which have faults are sent for repairs and adjustments as needed.

Fixed limit Plug Gauge: These are simply used to check the dimension. Depending on the limit and the gauge used for testing, fit or no fit may be used as the standard.
