years. We specialize in manufacturing made to order tools. Our range includes
Precision tools, CNC Machine tool holders, fixtures, gauges, spindle and

In the era of
competition, where ready made tools are available everywhere, we have carved
out our niche in the engineering world. We do have a simple process to
manufacture products. The one thing that distinguishes us from others is paying
attention to detail, the ability to understand complex structures and
simplifying the manufacturing process. Perhaps this is the reason why we have
been awarded twice within a span of 1 year in the precision components
category.
We, the engineers call
machine parts as precision components. It would also be nice to call them as
precious components as without them fitting precisely, a machine won’t function
in an optimized state causing it to underperform or even worse, not function at
all. With the sizes going small and machines becoming more and more efficient
it has become imperative for engineers to recognize the need to go custom. A
custom-made spindle/shaft for example will definitely perform better than a standard
one along with increased output and
What We Offer:
Precision Components:
These are mainly made to order, bespoke custom machined parts which are used
specifically in machines. Most of these parts are made for a single type of
machine. There are multi-purpose precision components as well which are used in
different machines.
Fixtures:
These are
used as a work holding device which locks and holds a part in a specific
position allowing a technician to carry out his work without having to worry
about any inaccuracies in the dimensions.
Tool Holders:
A
computer numerical control machine that has a pre-programmed number of cycles uses
tools to carry out task. These may be used for lathing, machining, drilling,
punching and many more tasks. Tools used in them tend to wear out with time and
replacement is required.
Gauges:
There are many
types of gauges that we offer namely plug gauges, control gauges, master gauges
and ring gauges. These are made for assessing and measuring the height, depth,
width and uniformity of parts.
Spindles & Shafts:
Without spindle and shafts, no machine can function and to manufacture
precision spindle takes time and efforts. As the saying goes “tassali baksh”.
We follow the same principle and produce superior quality products.
Being a tooling manufacturer in India, we understand the competition we face is sometimes overwhelming. Having said that, most of the times the competition doesn’t cannot match our quality and that is because of an optimized manufacturing process. There are two ways products are manufactured. The first one is a familiar one and the second one is for companies like us.
Situation 1: An order comes in for manufacturing a plug gauge. Client provides the go and nogo limits and the manufacturing company starts the process without any further communication. A plug gauge is ready within 24 hours and everything is done. The plug gauge wears out in less than a month because it was tested on a harder and coarser material.
Situation 2: Sawhney Engineering receives an order for plug gauge with go and no go limits. Before manufacturing starts, we exchange messages pertaining to the requirement of the plug gauge, the type of metal we will be using, and the expected life span of the product manufactured by us. The whole process takes about 5 days and the product is shipped. That extra effort to understand the true requirement of the client enabled us to manufacture a product that will outlive its life expectancy.
